One of the staples in many fishermen’s arsenals in West Virginia is the BB jig. The “secret to Summersville” BB jig is a finesse jig that comes in green pumpkin and black. This jig gives the ability to have what fish like with a jig, but with a more finesse approach. The hook is light enough wire to fish on a spinning rod and still gets penetration but still has enough strength to fish on a lighter casting rod without bending out. The head design helps this jig come through rocks well and has a good weed guard. The jig has a very good paint job and can put up with significant abuse from rocks before it starts to show any wear on the head.

At only $2.50 per BB jigs are also inexpensive compared to the competitors like the Keitech finesse football jigs, which retail for $5.69 per jig.

If I throw the BB jig on a spinning reel. In that case, I prefer to use a G. Loomis NRX 872 (7’3” medium) with a 2500-size Shimano Vanford. If I throw the BB jig on a casting reel, I prefer the G. Loomis 852 (7’1” medium extra fast) with a Shimano Curado MGL in the seven or eight gear ratios.

You can find Catch Em’ Lures at several local tackle shows in West Virginia, but you can reach them at 304-993-5667.
